Joan Fonseca uses the natural world’s brilliance to inspire her bold colors, textures and shapes that transform her paintings of flowers and fashion into unique works of art.

To achieve her goals, Joan mixes acrylics, pastels and various types of materials in fun, whimsical ways that reflect her lifelong passion for art and a boundless imagination to bring these distinctive images to you.

Joan is a recent arrival to Florida but is quickly finding an audience and acceptance for her art through viewings and word of mouth from other talented artists who have encouraged her to display her work.

Despite arriving just days ahead of hurricane Charlie in 2004, Joan soon realized that Florida was where she wanted to settle down, especially after meeting - and soon marrying - her husband David, a Florida business owner. They now call Longwood, Florida home.

Although Joan has been painting all her life, her recent retirement provides the time she has always craved to experiment with new techniques that give each one of her art pieces its own personality, while making the creation of art her new career.
